Lesson 1: Manage Conjur Cloud users

In this lesson, you will learn how to create a Conjur Cloud admin user in the Identity Administration Portal.

You must be a tenant admin to perform this task.

Create Conjur Cloud users

This section describes how to create a Conjur Cloud admin user in the Identity Administration Portal.

  1. Sign in to the Identity Administration Portal.
  2. Go to Core Services > Users, create a user.

  3. Give the user admin-level access to Conjur Cloud:
    1. Go to Core Services > Roles.
    2. From the list of available Roles, click the Secret Manager – Conjur Cloud Admin Role:

    3. Under Members, click Add.

    4. In the Add Members dialog box, search for the User that you created.

    5. Select the User and click Add.

      The User is added to list of Role members.

    6. Save your changes.

Because the User has a Conjur Cloud role, it syncs to Conjur Cloud and is added to the Conjur_Cloud_Admins resource group which grants user admin rights in Conjur Cloud.

These changes are reflected in Conjur Cloud on the next sync cycle, at which point the user will have access the Conjur Cloud UI. To log in to the Conjur Cloud UI, see Access Conjur Cloud.
