Generate activities reports

This topic describes how to generate activities reports.

Overview

Use the Activities reports page in the Audit service to generate and download system events such as user access, user activities, and the time and date of these activities to a CSV file for offline viewing.

Create a report

You can create a new report in the Activities reports page.

To create a report
  1. On the Activities reports page, click Create report.

  2. Enter the following information to generate a report for download as a CSV file:

    Report name

    Add a report name.

The name has a 50 character limit.

    • Last 7 days

    • Last 30 days

    • Custom - define the date and time range.

    • A report is limited to 10,000 rows. If your date range is too broad, the report may not capture all the data. This is indicated by a warning icon () next to the download button of your report.

    • Activities reports do not contain data from the last 24 hours. If data is missing from the report, run the report the following day to see if the missing data appears.

    Actions

Select the system events you want to view in your report.

    Search by

Filter your search for system events by Audit code, Event, Username, or Service. Enter text to further filter your search. The search is case-sensitive.

  3. Click the Create button to generate your report.

You can create more reports while your current report is in progress. However, a maximum of ten reports can be generated concurrently for a region.

  4. The audit report is saved in the browser's default download location, and contains a selection of the columns from the system activities page. For details, see View system activities. The CSV output is sorted by timestamp in ascending order.
