PSM basic parameters file

The Basic_psm.ini file contains the basic parameters of PSM which are required to start working with PSM. During installation, it is copied to the PSMinstallation folder.

Other than the Basic_psm.ini file, PSM is configured in the PVWA interface. For more information, refer to Configure the system through PVWA.

 

All parameters must be specified without spaces.

PSMVaultFile
Description The full path of the Vault.ini file, including the file name.

PSMAppCredFile
Description The full path of the PSM application user credential file. including the file name.

Description The ID of the current PSM server.

PSMLoginPattern
Description

Value this parameter to enable a PSM for Windows connection using NLA without providing the target details in the RDP file or in the RDP client UI. Any username that contains the login pattern will be automatically connected to the target machine through PSM.

For example, if your domain is cyberark.com and your Administrator defined PSMLoginPattern="cyberark.com", your must use a username in the format of cyberark.com\<username>.

SetPKIAuthAsDefault
Description

Value this parameter to set the default connection type to smart card.

PSM for Windows connection supports both authentication with credentials and through a smart card. The default authentication type is using credentials and you can select smart card authentication using Windows tiles.

RecordingsDirectory
Description The name of the local folder where recordings are saved until they are uploaded to the Vault.
