Before installing CPM, make sure that PVWA is already installed. If you specifically want to install CPM before PVWA, you will have to manually update the PVWA URL in the CPM's Vault parameter file after CPM installation to enable the CPM Scanner to connect to the PVWA.
If PVWA is configured to communicate through a secure channel (HTTPS), the CPM machine needs to trust the PVWA SSL certificate.
Import the CA certificate from the CA that issued the PVWA's SSL certificate to the CPM server.
On the CPM machine, run the CPM_PreInstallation.ps1 script to enable TLS 1.2. This script is in the CPM installation package under the InstallationAutomation folder.
During installation, Safes and a User are created to enable the CPM to work. To create these successfully, the Vault user who will carry out the installation must have the following authorizations in the Vault:
Reset Users’ Passwords
- Manage Server File Categories
You can use the built-in Administrator user to install the CPM.
