Who should install this version
CyberArk recommends that all customers upgrade to CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager v11.5.2.
Installation and upgrade notes
|
The user who runs the installation or upgrade must have full access to the SQL database. |
When upgrading from CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager v6.2 or earlier, you must upgrade your database to SQL 2016, as explained in Upgrade from v6.2 or Lower. After upgrading your database, you can then upgrade to CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager v11.5.2.
Direct upgrade to CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager v11.5.2 is supported from CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager v6.3.
When upgrading from version 11.3 or earlier, due to DB changes, run DB scripts prior to upgrade.
First run the UpgradeAssessment.sql script.
-
If the script returns "Run the upgrade process as planned", proceed to upgrade.
-
If the script returns "Run the PreUpgradeMaintenance.sql script to implement big database changes prior to upgrading the system", run the PreUpgradeMaintenance.sql script. This script might run for several hours, in addition to the upgrade time for the server itself.
During upgrade, existing events that have been handled may reappear in the Inboxes. They will correctly disappear again from the Inboxes shortly after the upgrade is completed.
After upgrade, the server may experience high CPU usage for up to several hours, depending on the number of upgraded Agents.
