Install the Credential Provider on Windows

This topic describes how to install the Credential Provider on the Windows platform.

Credential Provider is installed on Windows machines where applications that require passwords are running.

Credential Provider on Windows can be installed in either of the following ways:

Installation method	Description
Interactive	The user is required to initiate installation and to provide information throughout the installation process.
Silent	The installation procedure is initiated either by a user or by a script, and is performed without any human interaction. This is useful when installing multiple Credential Providers in a large environment, providing a fluent and automatic installation process.
