Troubleshoot the Security Events Module in PVWA

CASTM004E Object [PTA_PAS_GATEWAY] was not found on Safe [SharedAuth_Internal]

If you open the Security module, and receive the following message, there is an error in the connection between PTA and PAM - Self-Hosted.

To correct this error, at the command line, in the /opt/tomcat/utility/ folder, run the vaultPermissionsValidation.sh utility. This utility Validates and fixes Vault permissions and creates the relevant accounts.

Failed to load security configurations - 500 - Object reference not set to an instance of an object

If you open the Security Configuration pane, and receive the following message, there is an error in the connection between PTA and PAM - Self-Hosted.

To correct this error, verify that the root certificate of the PTA Server is installed as the Trusted Root Certificate.

Failed to open the Security module

• If you open the Security module and receive the 401 Unauthorized When entering Security Configuration page message, at the command line, in the /opt/tomcat/utility/ folder, run the vaultPermissionsValidation.sh utility and fix any issues.
• If the Security module is missing from the left pane, verify that the PVWA user has the necessary permissions to view the Security pages. For details, see Security. If the issue persists, in the /opt/tomcat/utility/ folder, run the vaultPermissionsValidation.sh utility.
