Manage web apps
This topic describes how to use the CyberArk Identity mobile app's Web Apps screen to sign in to web apps, add web apps, view or update your app credentials, and filter the list of web apps.
The following table shows symbols that you may see associated with web applications:
Symbol |
Description |
|
Tap to access application settings, such as user name and password. |
|
Indicates that the app is blocked by policy. You cannot open this application from your mobile device. For example, IT might configure the application so that you can open it from your office computer on the corporate network, but not on your phone when you are outside the corporate network. |
|
Indicates that the app is blocked by the browser. You cannot open this application because it is not supported on the device’s web browser. |
|
Indicates that you do not need to enter any sign in credentials to access the application. Your IT administrator has pre-configured the app with credentials that all users can use. |
|
Indicates that this application is new. This symbol is removed after you interact with the app. |
Sign in to web apps with single sign-on (SSO)
Tap an app tile to sign in to the app. Your sign in experience depends on how the application was added to your User Portal.
Type of web app |
Sign in experience |
---|---|
Deployed by your IT admin already configured for SSO |
You do not have to enter additional credentials to access the app. You only have to sign in to the CyberArk Identity mobile app. |
Deployed by your IT admin requiring credentials, or added by you |
You only have to enter credentials for the app the first time you sign in. CyberArk Identity saves those credentials and automatically signs you in the next time you tap the app tile. Your credentials for the application may be different from your CyberArk Identity credentials.

Update or view your user identity for an application
If you change your user name or password for a deployed application, you must update your credentials in the CyberArk Identity mobile app to continue using SSO. Additionally, you can view and copy the encrypted application password before you sign in (if your system administrator has not disabled this capability).
You must have App Lock configured to view and copy the password. See the following topics for more information:
-
Configure CyberArk Identity mobile app app lock settings - Android
-
Configure CyberArk Identity mobile app app lock settings - iOS
- Open the CyberArk Identity mobile app and tap Web Apps.
- On the Web Apps screen, tap the application settings icon (three vertical dots) associated with the relevant application and then select App Settings.
- Enter your new application credentials.
- (If enabled by your administrator) Click the eyeball icon to view and copy the encrypted application password.
- Click Save.
Add applications to the home screen
You can create a short-cut to an application by adding it to the home screen. If you have configured application lock for the CyberArk Identity mobile app, then you will need to provide the PIN or swipe your fingerprint to access the application.
To add the application to the home screen:
- Open the CyberArk Identity mobile app and tap Web Apps.
- Tap the application settings icon (three vertical dots) associated with the relevant application and select Add to Home Screen.
The application is added to the device’s home screen.
Filter applications
By default, the Apps screen lists all of your web applications. You can filter it to show just your frequently used applications, recently used applications, or groups of applications you have tagged. You use the drop-down list to select the filter.
