CyberArk recommends that all customers who have deployed EPM for Linux upgrade their CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager agents to v23.9.0.

Agent configuration

In Agent Configuration, the value of the Support info file password parameter is set to On, by default.

You can display the default password that decrypts the support info files in the Account Management page.

In the dialog headline, EPM only supports icons in PNG and ICO format.

In the Create application dialog window, we changed the title of the dropdown list that defines the action that prompts EPM to display the dialog from Type to Trigger.

We changed the titles of the following dialogs:

  • Application Block notification → Application Blocked

  • Policy Automation (non-UAC) → Application requires admin privileges (non-UAC)

  • Policy Automation (UAC) → Application requires admin privileges (UAC)

  • Policy Automation for Administrator users → Application runs with admin privileges (UAC)

  • Elevate → Launch with elevated privileges

Authentication

We have deprecated the Radius server. As a result, the Token field in the End-user UI → User step-up authentication request parameter has been removed.

Policies

The content and format of the policies import and export files have changed. To ensure a seamless transition, use the Import policies - old End User UI option to import previously exported policies.

Notifications

The content and format of the policies import and export files have changed. To ensure a seamless transition, use either the Import dialogs - old End User UI option or the Import balloons - old End User UI option to import previously exported notifications.

Maintenance

We added an option to the --get-support-info command to force retrieve EPM support logs when the EPM service is unavailable.

sudo commands

The EPM agent for Linux now supports the following sudo arguments:

  • -n or --non-interactive

  • -H

Events

We have optimized events sent by the agent, so they are now aggregated on the agent endpoint and sent by bulk.
