Manage your EPM license

This topic describes the EPM license, where you can see it, and what to do when it expires or is overused.

Overview

Your EPM license is set at account level, and applies to all your sets. You define sets using different types of licenses, depending on your organization's needs.

View license details

You can view the details of your EPM license in the Management Options.

  1. In the Management Options screen, click Administration to open the Server Configuration console.

  2. Expand Configuration, then click License to display the License page and view the details of your EPM license.

Validate the EPM license

Your EPM license is validated whenever you access a set and when you create a policy, to check its status.

Status

Indicates

Valid

The license is currently valid and is applied to a number of agents within the license limits.

Expired

The license is no longer active and you cannot create new policies. Renew your license before your account activities are restricted.

For more details, see How EPM manages expired licenses.

Overused

You have registered more agents than permitted by the license.

Overuse is checked according to the total consumption of licenses used in all your sets:

  • Full protection and credentials rotation - By number of registered agents.

  • Non-persistent VDIs - By number of concurrent active agents.

If any of the limits has been reached, a warning icon is displayed in the user menu.

When a license nears expiration or overuse, an icon is displayed in the user menu with details of the license status, as shown in the following example.
