SaaS agents

This topic describes the end-of-life policy for CyberArk SaaS agents and lists the end-of-life dates.

CyberArk SaaS agents are CyberArk's proprietary locally installed software components (including agents and connectors) that are provided with CyberArk SaaS products.

Version numbering

Each version may be represented in the following formats:

  • X.Y.Z (e.g., 12.5.1)

  • Release date (e.g., yy.mm.xx)

    'xx' indicates the version that is released in the specified month.

Definitions

Period

Definition

Support period

The period during which:

  • CyberArk’s Customer Support provides technical support with regards to a version, including problem verification and determination and providing temporary fixes, if applicable. This does not include support that requires engineering efforts or development of new code fixes.

  • The version is compatible with the SaaS product’s backend.

  • CyberArk provides code fixes for its agents only by way of releasing new versions.

  • In some cases, troubleshooting might require upgrade to latest version (even within the Support Period).

End of Support Date

This is the date when the version’s Support Period ceases.

Development Period

This is the period during which CyberArk provides code analysis and maintenance for a version, including code fixes, as necessary. A fix for SaaS agents may be provided by way of releasing a new version. Development Period is only available for certain SaaS agents.

End of Development Date

This is the date when the version’s Development Period ceases.

EOL dates for SaaS agents

The actual end date is the last day of the listed month.

The end-of-life dates apply to the original version as well as their patches.

Remote Access

Remote Access Connector

The end of support date of each version of Remote Access connector is the later of either:

  • 4 months from the release date

  • 60 days following CyberArk’s end of support announcement

CyberArk Identity

Connector

  • The Development Period for each version of the Identity Connector ends with the release of the next version.

  • The Support Period for the Identity Connector only extends to the two latest versions.

  • The Identity Connector is typically released monthly, with every service version.

  • If auto-update is enabled by customers, the Identity Connector is upgraded automatically.

  • If auto-update is not enabled, customers can upgrade the Connector from the Identity Connector UI. We highly recommend you enable auto-upgrade.

  • If it is not possible for you to enable auto-upgrade, we highly recommend you upgrade at least every quarter.

Endpoint Privilege Manager agent (SaaS)

Development Period is applicable only until version 23.4.
