Applications page parameters
This topic details the available parameters for customizing the Applications page in PVWA.

Applications UI Preferences parameters
The following parameters, under Applications UI Preferences, define the configuration for the main Applications page and the Applications Details pages in the PVWA.
Main section
The Main section defines the configuration for the main Applications page, and includes the following:
The Toolbar Actions parameters define the buttons that appear on the toolbar in the Applications page. By default, the following buttons are defined:

The Applications parameters define the settings for the Applications List displayed on the Applications page. These include the following:
The Displayed Columns parameters that define the columns displayed in the Applications List. By default, the following columns are defined:

ApplicationID | The unique name (ID) of the application that will be created or updated. |
BusinessOwner | The name of the application’s business owner. |
AllowedMachines | The IP addresses of the machines where the application can run. |
Location | The application’s Location in the Vault hierarchy. |
Description | A description of the application. |
BusinessOwnerEmail | The email address of the application’s business owner. |
BusinessOwnerPhone | The phone number of the application’s business owner. |
Disabled | Whether or not the application user (ID) is disabled. |
ExpirationDate | The date that the application user will expire. |
OSUsers | The Windows domain OS user(s) that are authorized to run the application. |
Paths |
The path(s) that are authorized to run the application. |
Hashes |
The hash(es) that are authorized to run the application. |
CertificateSerialNumber |
The certificate serial number(s) that are authorized to run the application. |

Application Details section
The Application Details section defines the configuration for the Applications Details page, and includes the following:

The Displayed Properties parameters define the application properties that will be displayed. By default, the following properties are defined:

The Page Details Tab parameters define the tabs in the Application Details page and their contents, and includes the following:

The Allowed Machines parameters define the Allowed Machines tab. This includes the following:
Property Description Toolbar Actions – Defines the toolbar buttons. By default, the following button is defined: Add Displays the Add button that enables users to add allowed machines. Displayed Columns – Defines the columns displayed in the list. By default, the following column is defined: Address The IP addresses of machine that have been defined for this application. Grid Actions – Defines the actions that will be available from the objects list. By default, the following button is defined: Delete Displays the Delete button that enables users to delete an IP address that is defined for the application. -
The Authentication parameters define the Authentication tab. This includes the following:
Property Description Toolbar Actions – Defines the toolbar buttons. By default, the following button is defined: Add Displays the Add button that enables users to add authentication characteristics for the application. Displayed Columns – Defines the columns displayed in the list. By default, the following column is defined: ApplicationType The type of authentication characteristic that has been defined for the application. Value The value of the authentication characteristic. ExtendedInfo Additional information about the authentication. Grid Actions – Defines the actions that will be available from the objects list. By default, the following button is defined: Delete Displays the Delete button that enables users to delete an authentication characteristic that is defined for the application.
Applications parameters
The following parameters, under Applications, define the Applications page properties. Some of these properties are visible, while others are not.
The Search Properties parameters define the application properties that are searched during searches for applications. By default, the following properties are searched:

Right-click Search Properties and select Add Property. A new property is created.

In the Properties pane, specify a name for the search property and press Enter. The new property appears in the list of search properties.
The Manage Applications Groups parameters define the groups in the Vault that are authorized to manage applications. If no group is defined, users are allowed to manage applications according to their authorizations. Users and groups require either of the following authorization in the Vault to manage applications:

- Manage Users

In the PrivateArk Administrative Client, create the group and add the group members.

Right-click Manage Applications Groups, and select Add Group. A new group is added.

In the Properties pane, specify the name of the Vault group that will be able to manage applications, and press Enter. The name of the group appears in the list of groups.
